Best crops tier list
Ranked by sheckles per minute and mutation ceiling. The Celestial Orchid is the undisputed S-tier earner; the lower tiers are still useful for stable mid-game returns.
How crops are ranked
The tier ordering uses sheckles per minute as the primary signal, with a bump for crops whose mutation rolls reliably produce big upside. A 30-minute crop selling for 1,000 sheckles base earns far less per minute than a 5-minute crop selling for 120, but if the long crop has a high Rainbow mutation ceiling, it can lap the short one over a few rolls.
The S tier here is dominated by event crops and the longest-grow standards. The D tier is made up of starter crops; they're not bad — they're how you build the sheckle base to afford S-tier seeds.
Strategy notes
- Don't fill a whole farm with S-tier crops if you're not online to harvest them quickly — mutations time out.
- A mixed farm of B/C crops plus 1–2 S-tier slots usually outperforms a pure S-tier strategy unless you're attentive.
- Event mutations (Shocked, Frozen) make even D-tier crops worth planting during their event windows.
