CFrame

#

Roblox scripting term — short for 'coordinate frame'. The data type representing position and rotation of a 3D object.

Code (in-game)

#

A redeemable string a developer publishes on social media or events. Most games have a Twitter / Settings menu where you paste them in.

Datastore

#

Roblox's server-side persistent storage. Used by developers to save player data between sessions.

Demand

#

Subjective measure of how many traders are looking to buy a specific item right now. Drives effective trade value above or below listed value.

Developer product

#

An in-game item that can be purchased multiple times (consumables, currency packs, boosts). Sold through the Roblox API at runtime.

DevEx

#

Developer Exchange. The Roblox program that lets eligible developers cash Robux out to USD. Has a minimum threshold (currently 50,000 Robux) and a fixed exchange rate set by Roblox.

Gamepass

#

A one-time purchase tied to a single game. Owning the pass usually unlocks a permanent perk in that game.

Group funds

#

Robux held by a Roblox group. Group payouts let owners distribute funds to members, but they're subject to the marketplace fee on the way out.

Huge

#

Pet Simulator 99 term for a giant variant of a pet, far rarer than the base form. Major trading currency inside PS99.

Limited

#

A tradeable catalog item available for a fixed time or in a fixed quantity. Limiteds historically required Premium and were a major part of trading culture.

Logia / Mythical

#

Top-tier Blox Fruits classifications. Logias are elemental fruits with passive immunities; Mythicals are the highest-rarity tier.

Marketplace fee

#

The 30% cut Roblox takes on transactions like gamepass sales, dev product sales, and group payouts. A 100 Robux gamepass returns 70 Robux to the seller.

Mutation

#

Variant trait on a crop or pet that changes its appearance and value. Used in Grow a Garden, PS99, and others.

Place / Game / Universe

#

Roblox terminology for the levels in an experience. A Universe contains one or more Places; the entry Place is what users join when they hit play.

Premium

#

Roblox's monthly subscription. Comes with a Robux stipend, the ability to trade and sell items on the marketplace, and bonuses inside some games.

R6 / R15

#

Two avatar rigs supported in Roblox. R6 has six body parts (classic blocky look), R15 has fifteen and supports more animation.
