Why a combination beats guessing
Robux packs are not priced linearly. Per dollar, the biggest pack gives the most Robux, and each step down the ladder gets slightly worse value until you reach the small packs. That means the cheapest way to reach a specific number is almost never the single pack that sits just above it. It is usually one large pack that gets you most of the way, plus a small pack to close the gap. Doing that arithmetic in your head is annoying, which is the whole reason this exists.
The tool searches every combination and returns the one with the lowest real-money cost that still lands at or above your target. When two plans cost within a few cents of each other it prefers the one with fewer separate purchases, because saving a nickel is not worth making ten transactions. (This planner used to fold in Premium's 10% purchase bonus; Roblox discontinued that bonus on May 30, 2026, so the plans now use the standard amounts for everyone.)
A worked example
Say you want 1,000 Robux for a gamepass. The single pack just big enough is the 1,700 pack at $19.99, and most people buy that and eat the waste. The cheaper route is the 800-Robux pack at $9.99 plus three 80-Robux packs at $0.99 each: 1,040 Robux for $12.96. Same goal, $7 less, and 40 Robux of change left over. Scale that up and the gap widens: to reach 5,000 Robux, one big pack plus a couple of small ones beats the next single pack by more than forty dollars.

Prices are the standard app-store tiers and shift by region and over time. Since late 2024, buying on the Roblox website or with gift cards gives up to 25% more Robux for the same money (e.g. $9.99 buys 1,000 Robux on the web versus 800 in-app), so the website is the cheaper place to buy. Never buy Robux from a third-party "generator" or a cheap off-platform seller — those are scams or account-stealing fronts, not real Robux.
