How DevEx cashout works

DevEx — short for Developer Exchange — is Roblox's official program for cashing earned Robux out to real money. The exchange rate is fixed by Roblox: $0.0035 per Robux, or $350 for every 100,000 Robux you cash out. The program is gated by a minimum balance (currently 50,000 Robux), an account age requirement, an active Premium subscription, and the requirement that the Robux were earned through eligible developer activities — gamepass sales, dev product sales, group payouts, and similar.

Robux you bought directly is not DevEx-eligible. Robux earned via trading is generally not eligible either. The full eligibility rules and any region-specific caveats are documented on the Roblox Creator Hub. This calculator assumes the Robux balance you enter is already eligible.

When to use it

  • You're deciding whether to cash out now or wait until you're at a round 100k.
  • You want a realistic dollar number to plan around — taxes, payment processing time, and your local conversion will all eat a little.
  • You're estimating future revenue from a game and want to translate Robux projections into dollars.

Worked example

You have 230,000 eligible Robux. The calculator returns $805.00 — 230,000 × $0.0035. The "short of next 100k" cell tells you you'd need 70,000 more Robux to reach 300,000, which would push the payout to $1,050. Whether to wait depends on how quickly you're earning and whether you'd rather have the cash sooner.

FAQ

Why isn't my full Robux balance eligible?

Roblox tracks how each Robux entered your account. Bought Robux, traded Robux, and Robux from some bonus categories are not DevEx-eligible. Only earned developer revenue is.

Does Roblox change the DevEx rate?

It can. The rate has been adjusted before. This calculator pulls from a single constants file on the site so when Roblox updates it, every BloxToolbox calculator updates with one change.

Are there fees on top of the DevEx conversion?

The rate quoted is what Roblox pays out. Your bank or local payment processor may take a small fee on receipt; that's outside Roblox's control.
