What RAP is (and isn't)

RAP, or recent average price, is a smoothed average of an item's recent real sale prices, calculated by Roblox itself from actual resale transactions. Every number on this page comes from Roblox's own catalog and economy APIs — not from a third-party value index. It is the most objective public figure a limited has.

It is also a lagging number, and not the price you'll actually get. Because it averages past sales and is smoothed, RAP sits below the real market when an item is rising and above it when an item is falling, and thin-volume items can show a RAP off a handful of unusual sales. Treat it as a reference point, not a quote — we dig into exactly why in RAP is not the price.

Our estimate, trend, and activity — and how we compute them

RAP alone is lagging, so we add three of our own signals, computed transparently from the same first-party Roblox sale data — no third-party value index, no guesswork:

• Our estimate blends the most recent real sale prices with RAP (0.6 × recent-sale price + 0.4 × RAP). It leans on what the item is actually selling for now while staying anchored to the objective average, so it reacts faster than RAP without overreacting to a single odd sale.
• Trend compares the most recent block of sales to the block before it and shows the percentage change — ▲ rising, ▼ falling, or flat. It's a read on momentum, not a forecast.
• Activity buckets the feed's recorded sale volume from Dormant to Hot. It's a liquidity gauge: a high estimate on a Dormant item is far less reliable than the same number on an Active one, because thin trading makes any price noisy.

These are our own data-driven estimates, not a community trade value. They're honest about uncertainty by design — for items that rarely sell, the estimate is essentially RAP and the activity tag tells you to trust it less. All three signals inherit the age of the underlying feed: when the data note above this table shows the feed's newest recorded sale, that date — not the day we checked — is how fresh every number on this page is.

How to use this tracker

• Ranking is by RAP, highest first, across the most valuable limiteds Roblox surfaces.
• Weigh our estimate and trend together with activity — a rising estimate on a Hot item is a real signal; the same on a Dormant item is mostly noise.

Data: Roblox catalog + economy APIs (RAP and sales are Roblox's own, from real resale transactions). We check the feed daily and label the table by the newest sale it has actually recorded — if Roblox's legacy resale endpoint stops updating, the data note above the table says so instead of pretending the numbers are current (how we caught it doing exactly that). Trading limited items requires Roblox Premium on both sides, and Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on every sale.
