How the Plus discount actually works
Roblox Plus replaced Premium for new members on April 30, 2026. Where Premium paid you a monthly Robux stipend, Plus discounts what you spend: eligible Robux-priced purchases cost you 10% less in your first two subscribed months and 20% less beginning in your third consecutive month. A 100-Robux game pass costs a Plus member 90 Robux at the intro rate and 80 Robux at the loyalty rate.
One detail worth knowing because it explains the whole product: Roblox funds the discount, not creators. Roblox's creator documentation states that creators "earn the same amount per purchase" as from non-subscribers — the developer of that 100-Robux pass is paid on the full 100 either way, and Roblox eats the 10 or 20 Robux gap. The discount is a marketing expense aimed at making you spend more often, which is exactly why the math above deserves a look before you assume it's free money.
Base Plus includes no Robux at all. It does include the platform perks that used to be Premium's other selling points — most importantly trading and reselling access (a trade still requires both parties to hold Premium or Plus), plus free private servers and fee-free Robux transfers between eligible accounts.
Reading the verdict
The subscription pays for itself when the cash value of the Robux you save exceeds $4.99. Saved Robux is only worth what you'd otherwise pay for Robux, so the calculator prices it at your selected purchase rate — the website rate of roughly $9.99 per 1,000 Robux is the sensible default, since anyone optimizing this should already be buying on the web rather than in the app. At that rate the arithmetic lands near 2,500 Robux of eligible monthly spending to break even at 20%, and double that during the two intro months at 10%. Spend less than that in a typical month and Plus is a convenience you're paying for; spend more and it's a real discount.
Note what this means for the ramp: almost everyone runs at a loss or near break-even for the first two months, because the product only reaches full strength in month three — and the 20% rate is tied to consecutive months, so lapsing restarts you at 10%. The subscription is designed to be kept, not toggled.
