Where Premium stands in 2026

Roblox stopped offering Premium to new subscribers on April 30, 2026, when it launched Roblox Plus, and on May 30, 2026 it discontinued Premium's 10% bonus on Robux purchases. What's left for existing subscribers is worth pricing:

  1. The monthly Robux stipend (450, 1000, or 2200 depending on tier) — still paid.
  2. Trading and Limited-marketplace access (a qualitative benefit this tool doesn't price).

The stipend math is now the whole quantitative case. 450 Robux is worth roughly $5.62 at the app-store purchase rate against a $4.99 sticker price — slightly ahead in Robux terms, but you're committed to a recurring charge. At the 1000 and 2200 tiers, the stipend's purchase-rate value clearly beats the subscription price. One wrinkle the verdict doesn't capture: since late 2024 you can buy Robux on the Roblox website at up to 25% more Robux per dollar than the app-store rate, which narrows the stipend's real edge.

How the verdict is computed

The math is deliberately small: stipend Robux times the app-store purchase rate ($9.99 for 800 Robux, about $0.0125 per Robux), minus the monthly price. The result cell shows that as a signed dollar figure — positive means the stipend out-values the charge, negative means it falls short. The share button copies a link with your tier in the URL, and that is the only state the tool keeps.

Run all three tiers through it: Premium 450’s stipend prices at $5.62 against a $4.99 charge, a +$0.63 verdict. Premium 1000 prices at $12.49 against $9.99, +$2.50. Premium 2200 prices at $27.47 against $19.99, +$7.48. On the app-store yardstick every grandfathered tier is net positive, and the margin widens with the tier.

Now the stress test the verdict cell doesn’t run: price the same stipends at the web rate, where $9.99 buys about 1,000 Robux. Premium 450’s stipend is worth roughly $4.50 — about 49 cents less than the charge. Premium 1000 is an exact wash: $9.99 of Robux for $9.99. Only Premium 2200 keeps a real edge, about $1.99. If you already buy your Robux on the web, the 450 tier’s cash case is gone and the 1000 tier’s is zero — what’s left holding those subscriptions up is the trading gate and the perks, not the stipend.

When to cancel

  • You're not actively trading and you rarely spend Robux. The stipend on Premium 450 isn't worth a recurring charge.
  • You only play occasionally and don't have Robux-priced wishlists.

One thing before you do it: cancelling Premium is one-way. The subscription is closed to new signups and that includes returning ones, so a cancelled account cannot come back — the only subscription on offer afterwards is Roblox Plus, which has no stipend.   • You trade Limited items. Trading requires Premium or Roblox Plus on both sides of a trade, so cancelling drops you out of the trading pool unless you move to Plus.

Does Premium auto-renew?

Can I still sign up for Premium?
