Grow a Garden trade value calculator

Stack crops and mutations on either side. The verdict weighs in event-driven demand — a Rainbow Starfruit during a market spike carries a lot more weight than a Rainbow Strawberry no matter what the raw number says.

How Grow a Garden's value list works

Grow a Garden values everything in sheckles, the game's in-world currency, but trades almost never happen at face sheckle price. The actual trade value is dominated by two things: how long a crop takes to grow (a 3-hour Celestial Orchid is worth a lot more than a 1-minute Carrot of the same listed sheckle value), and which mutation it rolled on harvest.

Mutations are the lever. A standard Mango sells for 2,100 sheckles. A Gold Mango (20× multiplier) is worth 42,000 — and a Rainbow Mango (50× multiplier) is worth 105,000. Shocked Mangoes, which only appear during the rare Lightning event, go even higher because their supply is time-locked.

This calculator includes the multiplier mutations as separate "items" you can stack on a side. To represent a Gold Mango in a trade, add a Mango and a Gold Mutation entry. The verdict math doesn't multiply automatically — instead, treat the calculator as a structured worksheet for the trade.

Read the verdict

The verdict uses demand-adjusted totals. Crops with insane demand (Celestial Orchid, Starfruit, mutations during their event window) get pushed higher than their face value suggests. A 5% gap reads as fair; bigger gaps light up.

Trading tips for Grow a Garden

Time matters more than rarity

The most overlooked rule: long-growth crops with mid-tier values out-earn short-growth crops with high values over time. The Tier List page sorts by sheckles-per-minute which is the better measure for active farmers.

Don't trade event mutations for static value

A Shocked-mutation crop loses value fast once the event ends. Trade event mutations away during the event window, or trade them toward base values (Mangoes, Coconuts) that hold steady afterward.

FAQ

Are the mutation multipliers exact?

The multipliers used here (Gold 20×, Rainbow 50×, Shocked 100×, Frozen 10×) are the in-game multipliers as of the Mutation Hunt update. Roblox developers can patch these; check the changelog if a number looks off.

What about pets and tools?

Grow a Garden's pet and tool market isn't tracked here yet — values are too volatile to publish responsibly. Add it via a PR if you've got data.

Why does the calculator show some "value 0" entries for mutations?

Mutations have no standalone value — they multiply the crop they're attached to. The 0 is deliberate so they don't pollute side totals. Use them as labels in the trade composition.
