How this tier list is built

The tier ordering is a blend of raw community trade value and active demand. A pet with a slightly lower raw value but higher demand will outrank a pet with a higher number that nobody's chasing. That's why farmable legendaries can land below limited rares in this list — supply matters as much as raw rarity.

The list updates after each major Adopt Me content drop (and on a steady monthly cadence otherwise). Movement between tiers is normal; this is the snapshot for Spring 2026.

How to use it

  • When evaluating a trade, the tier list is the quick gut-check; the trade calculator is the precise version.
  • If you're planning to grind for a specific pet, S and A tiers are the ones that retain value across patches.
  • D tier pets aren't worthless — they're just plentiful enough that they're not strong trade fuel.

The market this month (verified August 16, 2026)

The August 16 two-source re-verify reshuffled the very top of the Adopt Me value ladder. Bat Dragon is the new #1 at 34,000 — up from 14,000, and now above Shadow Dragon's 32,000, a change three independent sources agreed on. Behind them, Giraffe more than doubled to 19,000 (moving above Frost Dragon's 18,000) and Owl rose to 10,000, edging past Parrot at 9,500. These are the largest verified moves this list has recorded in one pass, and they follow the pattern the sister site's essays keep documenting: legacy-egg pets appreciating in steps as supply thins, not smoothly.

Logged but not acted on: one source ranks Crow above Evil Unicorn and flags Owl's demand as rising — single-source claims sit on watch until a second tracker agrees. If you trade high-tier legacy pets, the practical readings are two: neon and mega math multiplies these base moves by four and sixteen, so top-end reshuffles matter most there; and a value that just doubled attracts overpay demands on both sides of the table — mid-trade, the dated number beats the rumor. All values are community estimates, verified against multiple public trackers and dated when they change.
