How our tools work
What the calculators and lookups do with what you type, why none of them searches Roblox for you, and where the data pages get their numbers.
Last updated October 5, 2026Everything runs in your browser
Every calculator and lookup on this site runs in the page you are looking at. What you type is not sent anywhere: it stays in your browser, in the page address if you use a share link, and nowhere else. The only requests a tool makes to Roblox are the ones you start yourself, by clicking a button that opens a roblox.com page.
Why no tool searches Roblox by username
Roblox’s public web services do not let another website’s page read them from a visitor’s browser, and this site runs no server of its own between you and Roblox. So no tool here can turn a username into a user ID, read an inventory or fetch a price. Each lookup works from what you paste (a URL, an ID or a date) and hands you a link to Roblox’s own page, which shows the rest.
Why the tools show no Roblox images
Until September 2026 the asset lookup and the avatar viewer showed pictures from a public Roblox image address. Roblox retired it: in our September 10, 2026 check it answered with an error for every ID we tried, and the service that replaced it has the same restriction as the rest of Roblox’s web services. Pictures of items and avatars now appear only on Roblox’s own pages, which the tools open.
Which Roblox address opens which asset
The asset lookup offers two links because Roblox shows assets at two addresses. On September 21, 2026
we requested five assets at three addresses and recorded Roblox’s first answer, without
following redirects. The Creator Store address answered for all five. The Avatar Marketplace
(/catalog/) address forwarded the three avatar items to their named pages and answered
“not found” for the audio file and the place. The old /library/ address
forwarded all five to the Creator Store. The asset names and types are from Roblox’s asset
records, read October 5, 2026.
| Asset | Type | /catalog/ | Creator Store | /library/ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roblox Baseball Cap (607702162) | hat | forwards to item page | answers | forwards to store |
| Valkyrie Helm (1365767) | hat, limited | forwards to item page | answers | forwards to store |
| Check It (7074786) | face | forwards to item page | answers | forwards to store |
| Blox Fruits (2753915549) | place | not found | answers | forwards to store |
| Paradise Falls (1837879082) | audio | not found | answers | forwards to store |
Where the data pages get their numbers
The limiteds market and the
player-count history are not lookups. Their numbers
are read from Roblox’s public data when the site is built, on the site’s own machine, and
published as plain files under /data/ that anyone can download. Limited prices come from
Roblox’s resale records for each item; player counts are one reading per game per day since June
28, 2026. Each page says when its data was read.
How the rates are kept current
The calculators use a handful of Roblox figures: the DevEx rate, the marketplace fee, Robux prices, Premium and Plus terms. Each calculator links the Roblox page its figures come from, next to the date they were last checked. When Roblox changes one, the calculators that use it change together, and the change is listed in the corrections log if a page said something that stopped being true.
